One of my favorite parts of photographing babies, is getting to capture them as they GROW! From bump, to newborn, to celebrating her 1st birthday...watch Raelynn grow! THIS is why I do what I do, so that families can have these moments captured professionally to forever cherish and look through with their children as they get older. For their children to be able to then share them with their own kids someday and so on. Photographs are beyond the moment, it's something you can cherish for a lifetime. <3

When a pandemic hits and forces all non-essential businesses to close, and people to quarantine...it can make you crazy.OR, it can push you to think outside the box! I'm a creative at heart, and love to think of fun ideas with my clients, but during this forced downtime not being able to photograph my client sessions, it pushed me to get creative in a different way!Being a boy mom, I texted my neighbor friend and asked if her daughter had some barbies I could borrow for an idea. She LOVED the idea and even knitted a couple tiny blankets and a headband for the baby haha. I built & painted a baby crib and a made dress for big sister, then put the set together, gathered my camera gear and had WAY too much fun with it!I did a lot of posing like I do with my real clients in the studio which was rather difficult with stiff subjects ha, and a WIDE awake baby, but it allowed me to get my creativity out! Meet Barbie & Ken's newest addition, and the proud big brother & sister! Also, look for the peeling newborn baby feet. :P
All the tiny details!
Shirtless dad, because...Ken Barbie.
The Rainbow Gift, something I created to gift to a special family that has suffered through a storm and now getting their rainbow. I was so incredibly touched by the stories momma's shared with me, and in the end decided to choose not just 1, but 2 winners for The Rainbow Gift!Collin's parents struggled with infertility for years, then had the opportunity to adopt their rainbow! His parents were gracious enough to share their story openly with me, and allowed me to share below with all of you that may be going through your own storm and need a glimmer of hope right now!(ALSO, for my clients due in the coming weeks, this baby boy was born full term and we did his session at 6 weeks old and this is no where near the full gallery, so don't worry...i'll still capture a beautiful gallery for you when businesses can resume!)<3
The next week was a tumultuous mess of emotions. Justin wasn’t allowed to see Collin for 4 days after he was born. The day before he was finally added to the visitor list by the birth mom, we sat in the camper and I held my husband’s head in my hands as he sobbed for several minutes because he had not been able to see his son (another detail I’ll never forget). The day he finally saw him was another huge relief.
Spring hasn't hit yet, and i'm so ready for it, but we lucked up with a somewhat warm evening for this gorgeous motherhood session at our lakeside location! It was muddy, and the wind picked up just as we got started, but the girls rocked it and did so well for me! The sun set FAST too, but I was so happy with the magic we captured in a short time! Beautiful motherhood portraits of a momma loving on her girls, as well as individual shots of each girl, and the sisters together. You'd never know it was muddy and cold, right? ;) They are all styled with the Studio Wardrobe too; their dresses/romper, floral crown, bow, thigh socks ect! Part of the experience I offer to clients is not only capturing a professional high end gallery, but also providing a full custom session start to finish! I get everyones clothing sizes and style the entire family in coordinating pieces from the studio wardrobe, so not only does that make it stress-free for you, it also saves you money on clothes AND ensures you'll receive the look and style that you see in all of my work! It's no secret, newborns sleep a lot!Sometimes though, even at just over a week old, they show me up and come in WIDE awake and stay that way for majority (or all haha) of their newborn session! Look at the cuteness captured of Mr. Brody, even when he was mean mugging me ha!Let this session allow you to rest assured momma's...that i'll take that challenge if your baby is an alert one! ;) (This isn't even half of his gallery!)
